The Opportunity

The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for providing systems and administrative support to the Maintenance team at DP World Saint John.

In this role, you will:

- Actively participate in the development of equipment hierarchy, life cycle asset records management, maintenance strategies and job planning, Inventory management and PM records reporting in support of standardized asset management processes across the department.
- Administer and coordinate key elements of the Maintenance and Engineering program, including documentation and records related to maintenance planning & scheduling, work order management, equipment services, and safe working procedures.
- Conduct and assist with monitoring programs, to identify improvement opportunities in data collection, processing and reporting.
- Document control and record keeping for inspections, reports, KPIs and asset information.
- Manage completed work order data collection and history tracking; maintain and update asset data management and inventory support.
- Support administration of SSE initiatives including incident tracking, facilitating safety orientations for department visitors and contractors, action administration and collecting and reporting damages.
- Maintenance liaison for training, orientation and communication with Operations and HSSE.
- Coordinate the daily dispatch of work crews, including verification of availability and relevant data entry and tracking.

What you bring to the role:

- Post-secondary education will be considered an asset.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working in Industry with an understanding of Maintenance and Inventory Management practices.
- Proficiency with MS Office and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, such as Maximo.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and Power BI.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated abilities working with various trades, such as electricians and/or mechanics, within a unionized and heavy industrial environment.
- Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills, coupled with exceptional time management, organization, and planning skills.
- Self-reliance with strong written and verbal communication capable of taking initiative and making decisions under time constraints.
- A flexible team player who is able to work as required and willing to adapt to change.
- Previous Canadian work experience or experience working directly with Canadian industries.
- Fluent in English.
