Maintenance Planner

Job SummaryReporting to the manager of light fleet, the maintenance planner will support the light fleet requirements throughout the various sectors within the Ocean Capital group of companies. This role supports the management and maintenance of the light fleet by coordinating preventative service schedules, ensuring accurate documentation in fleet systems, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to reduced downtime.ResponsibilitiesMonitor preventative maintenance schedules for assigned vehiclesPlan service intervals, and coordinate with operational stakeholdersEnsure workorders are opened and closed, and relevant systems are maintained and accurateCollaborate with fleet analyst, and other members of mobile assets groupFoster good working relationships with key vendors and suppliersEmbrace, champion and drive the department's commitment of "available for use"Provide overall support to the Light Fleet ManagerCandidate should have a valid class 5 driver’s license, for occasional movement of vehicles in the Saint John areaMinimal travel requiredOther duties and tasks, as assignedTechnical RequirementsPost secondary education (college diploma or equivalent) in a related fieldPrior experience within the transportation industry, preferably within the area of maintenance planning / schedulingTechnical aptitude and understanding of equipment and mobile assetsBusiness RequirementsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong customer service skillsCultural RequirementsSolid interpersonal skills with the ability to work both collaboratively and independentlyAs a member of the OSCO Construction Group, we offer a comprehensive compensation package including health and dental coverage, life insurance, RRSP and tax-free savings account options.
