Café by day, bistro by night, we proudly play host to morning coffee and viennoiserie, breezy business lunches, weeknight rendezvous, lazy Sunday brunches and everything in between. Our menus feature a greatest hits list of timeless French classics — from traditional onion soup and steak tartare, to comforting boeuf Bourguignon and seafood bouillabaisse. On weekends, we invite our guests to rise and shine for a rich variety of pastries, crêpes, galettes and breakfast sandwiches.
Under the direction of the Chef, Café Lunette is looking for a Kitchen Steward to support the back-of-house team during the weekends. The Kitchen Steward plays an essential role in ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in all back-of-house operations.
**What you will be doing**:

- Operating dishwashers efficiently
- Washing glassware and flatware
- Polishing all glassware and flatware
- Cleaning and sanitizing dishwasher mats, dish carts and dish racks
- Responsible for receiving, stocking and organizing food and supply orders
- Safely handling and storing cleaning products
- General dish area maintenance which includes sweeping, mopping, organization and removal of garbage and compost
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned

**The person we are looking for has**:

- Previous experience working in a dishwasher role or similar environment is considered an asset
- Morning availability on the weekends
- A strong attention to detail
- The ability to take direction and remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills and an ability to multi-task
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
- The ability to handle heavy lifting up 50 lbs
