**Job Title**: Lead Hand - Manufacturing

**Job Overview**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Supervise daily operations on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and manage production schedules.
- Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.
- Assist in sample manufacturing by providing accurate material and labor cost assessments.
- Build strong relationships with team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Mentor junior staff and provide training on best practices in furniture manufacturing.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure materials and supplies are available to meet production needs.
- Address and resolve production issues promptly, implementing corrective actions to maintain workflow.
- Maintain accurate production records and provide regular updates to management on progress and challenges.
- Enforce workplace safety standards and procedures to maintain a hazard-free environment.

**Required Skills and Experience**
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with assembly line production methods, including lean production management, is an asset.
- Proficiency in carpentry and building samples is an asset.
- Experience in creating and managing production schedules is essential.
- Strong understanding of quality control measures in manufacturing settings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively lead teams and interact with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess workflows and implement process improvements.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Diploma or certification in manufacturing, production management, or a related field.
- Lean Manufacturing Certification or demonstrated knowledge of lean principles.

**Work Environment**

- Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with the occasional Saturday shift.
