Ø Assists in the hiring, training and career development of all housekeeping employees; assists with performance evaluations and communicating performance standards to employees.

Ø Inspects the level of cleanliness in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry areas, restrooms and public areas.

Ø Assists in scheduling staff according to standards and forecasted occupancy; assigns daily work tasks to employees.

Ø Assists in the ordering and receiving of linen and cleaning supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels necessary for efficient operation of the department; assists with monthly linen and supply inventory.

Ø Ensures the completion of the Housekeeper’s Report and communicates clean and available rooms to the Guest Services Department.

Ø Documents and communicates maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department to ensure hotel service quality standards are met.

Ø Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Ø Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates.

Ø Conducts training regarding safety, security, department procedures and service guidelines.

Ø Ensures hotel is in compliance with all federal, provincial and local laws, including Health and Safety, ESA and Human Rights.

**Qualifications;**
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning best practices, chemicals, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Able to work within a fast-paced work environment & keep a positive attitude while dealing with staff.
- Must be able to always have professionalism while dealing with other staff members.
- Must be physically fit. Position requires extensive walking, bending, standing the lifting.
