Overview:
The principal function of this position is to administer day-to-day accounts payable and receivable tasks and other administrative work.

Key Areas of Responsibility
- Provide accounting and clerical assistance to Finance manager, including a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.
- Keep financial records updated, prepare reports, reconcile bank statements, supplier statements and credit cards.
- Use accounting software (e.g. Infor) to process business transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and ledgers.
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
- Work closely with the Operations department to ensure Invoicing and supplier payments are done in a timely manner.
- Enter key financial information into company database.
- Work closely with the Management team
- Research, track, and restore accounting problems and discrepancies.

The above is not exhaustive and you will be expected to undertake any other duties which may reasonably fall within the level of responsibility and competence.

Qualifications & Experience
- A motivated and hardworking individual with good written and communication skills.
- Proven accounting experience. Educational or work experience in accounting is considered an asset.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite of products (predominantly Word and Excel). Capability to analyze data in excel is an essential requirement.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures and principals.
- Accuracy and attention to detail is an essential requirement.
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
- The ability to communicate effectively to all employees with sometimes sensitive information is an essential requirement.
