**Job Summary**:
The Maintenance Worker plays a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and safety of our properties. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs and preventative maintenance, to create a safe and comfortable living environment for our residents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of living units and shared facilities to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality.
- Perform repairs within living units, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, drywall, cabinetry, painting etc. as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests from residents to address urgent issues.
- Implement preventative maintenance schedules for appliances and fixtures within living units to minimize breakdowns.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and tools specifically for repairs and upkeep of living units.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed, including repairs, time spent, and materials used.
- Work closely with property management and other maintenance staff to coordinate service requests and ensure efficient operations.
- Follow safety protocols when performing maintenance tasks to ensure the safety of residents and staff.
- Interact professionally with residents regarding maintenance issues, providing courteous and responsive service.
- Assist with the upkeep of outdoor areas associated with living units, including landscaping and snow removal.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment used for repairs and maintenance in living units.
- Support other maintenance team members and management as needed to ensure a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- All other duties as required.

**Education**:

- A diploma from a secondary school or equivalent

**Experience**:

- Two or more years of maintenance or related experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning solutions and materials.
- Familiarity with various aspects of repair and maintenance work.

**Skills**:

- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Dependable and consistent attendance is essential.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be a team player who treats coworkers and residents with respect.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision while meeting tight deadlines.

**Special Requirements**:

- Valid Class G driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel to various locations

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

- French not required
