We are looking for an experienced Surveyor to assist in our commercial landscape projects in the 2025 season. **Roles and Responsibilities**: - Read and interpret project plans and site drawings - Convert CAD files, create surface files, upload GPS programs into machine control equipment - Conduct regular field surveying to mark grades and indicate necessary cuts/fills - Compare field information to project plans in order to track work progress - Use topographical information to provide quantity calculations - Clearly communicate results with project managers and on-site operators - Prepare field notes and sketches where necessary **Experience and Qualifications**: - Experience working in the Commercial Landscape Construction Industry - Ability to read and interpret drawings and site plans, including site layout, grading, planting plans and other surface installation plans - Knowledge of Surveying equipment and programs including AutoCAD 3D (Civil 3D) and Trimble Business Centre - Experience in the field performing site surveying, using a Data Collector, pounding stakes and marking a cut/fill - Must be physically fit and able to walk long distances over all kinds of terrain **Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 9 months Pay: From $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 50 - 65 per week Additional pay: - Overtime pay Schedule: - 10 hour shift - 12 hour shift - 8 hour shift Application question(s): - How many years of experience do you have in the Landscape Construction industry? - How many years of experience do you have as a Land Surveyor for a landscape construction company? - You will be required to perform on-site work for our projects throughout Calgary and surrounding area.
