Detailed Overview:
**Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families**:
- Leads the development of MEG research to support a shared vision for clinical research that improves the sustainability, impact, and cost effectiveness of health systems and service delivery for Fraser Health.
- Identifies and pursues external grant applicant and grant funding. Develops and leverages funding opportunities. Ensures that Fraser Health pre-award and post-award requirements are maintained.
- Reports results of research abstracts for national and international meetings and peer-reviewed journals, as appropriate.
- Ensures that the safety, privacy and care of personnel and research participants are maintained to the highest standards.
- Develops and sustains collaborative relationships/partnerships with physicians, multidisciplinary health care providers, academic institutions, local, provincial, and federal funding agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Develops and manages effective working relationships with other departments, groups and team members.
- Provides discipline specific advice, training, guidance, and continuing education to medical staff and students.
Qualifications:
**Education and Experience**
Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience, Physics, Engineering, or related field. Trained in medical imaging and neuro methods and modalities. Postdoctoral Clinical Fellowship in medical imaging.
Five (5) years of experience in an area of research and development relevant to medical imaging and neuroscience research projects which employ magnetoencephalography (MEG) technologies, including translating research into health care advances.
Experience in conducting imaging research studies in a clinical environment; analyzing and reporting imaging results; working on a multidisciplinary medical research team; and the development of medical imaging capacity through the establishment of new equipment platforms.

**Professional/Technical Capabilities**:
- Knowledge of scientific approaches and methodologies.
- Ability to develop and follow research methodology and protocol.
- Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise, including data base creation and analysis.
- Ability to design, organize, and coordinate scientific research projects.
- Experience with signal processing.
- Strong computer programming skills.
- Experience in MEG/EEG/MRI operations.
- Knowledge of medical imaging data integration with related clinical patient information.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
