This is a **Permanent Full-Time** position with** 75 hours bi-weekly.**

**What you’ll be doing**:
You will be a welcomed team member, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Resident Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

**What makes you a great fit?**
- Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service
- Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignments
- Transports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required
- Completes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments
- Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leader
- Practices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service
- Performing other duties as assigned

**What you need to know**:

- **Certification in**Personal Support Worker**or**Personal Care Worker,** or a**1**6 hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department**.**If you don't have this, you must be**willing to complete this course within 3 months of start date.**:

- **Medication Module is required, or must be willing to obtain.**:

- Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
- **Basic or Standard First Aid is required.**:

- **CPR is required.**:

- Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check.
