The **Resident Attendant** is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents and ignites the warmth of human connection.

This is a **Permanent Full-Time**position with** 75 hours biweekly.**

Schedule:

- **Mon 2:00pm-10:00pm**:

- **Tues 2:00pm-10:00pm**:

- **Wed 2:00pm-10:00pm**:

- Thurs OFF
- Fri OFF
- **Sat 2:00pm-10:00pm**:

- **Sun 2:00pm-10:00pm**

As a Resident Attendant, your typical day will impact the following ways:

- Answers all resident call bells and door alarms promptly and provides courteous service.
- Completes all aspects of resident care as outlined in the plan of care and care assignment.
- Transports residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required.
- Completes laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments.
- Deals tactfully and courteously with residents, residents' families and reports any concerns / complaints to the team leader.
- Practices safe food handling techniques throughout all aspects of food preparation and service.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Must haves:

- **Certification in**Personal Support Worker**or**Personal Care Worker**, or a**16 hour course that covers the provision of personal care and that is recognized by the department.**If you don't have this, you must be willing to complete this course within 3 months of start date.**:

- Minimum of six months of experience in a similar role.
- **Basic or Standard First Aid is required.**:

- Excellent command of the verbal and written English language skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
