Overview:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, The Operations Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the activities and operations of the facility’s event set-ups and maintenance programs and complete department scheduling and part time payroll while ensuring the efficient operation of the venue.

Salary Range $50,000-$60,000/yr

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversees the set-up of events, and directs and monitors the work of Building Operators and Custodians.
- Meet with staff to identify and resolve problems; assign work activities, projects and programs; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures.
- Follow the hazardous materials communication program, material safety data sheets and required records and permits.
- Work with the Operations Manager and contractors to complete outside maintenance and repairs.
- Check, verify and approve part time payroll work sheets.
- Provide Varsity Game operations support to game ops staff.
- Attend internal meetings representing the operations department and represent the facility at external meetings as deemed necessary.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended work days

Qualifications:

- A minimum of two (2) years of increasingly responsible experience in facility operations, maintenance or a related field (preferably in an arena, stadium, convention centre, or other public assembly facility).
- High school diploma. Building management or maintenance courses preferred.
- Familiarity with OHSA requirements.
- Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, chillers, refrigeration, and ice making considered an asset.
- WSIB Joint Health & Safety Certification considered an asset.
- Knowledge of or involvement with sports considered an asset.
