Ian Martin Workforce is working alongside a reputable Manufacturer that is a leading provider of in-store marketing services for the world’s leading retailers and brand manufacturers. As the new Warehouse Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of 8-10 employees in the warehouse. This hands-on position plans, directs, coordinates, controls, and measures activities in a warehouse environment and operates with a good deal of autonomy related to researching and resolving inventory and quality issues related to internal customer service.

Day to Day Responsibilities Include:

- Assists Inventory Coordinators with inventory accuracy in Inventory System by performing spot checks and verifying IOS transactions.
- Manages labor effectiveness and efficiencies by planning labor to meet operational needs.
- Monitors warehouse requests and assigns to Material Handlers and Order Pickers.
- Compiles stock control records and information such as consumption rate and characteristics of items in storage to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
- Moves inventory in and out of the warehouse and 3PL’s as needed.
- Performs root cause investigations of cycle counts, inventory discrepancies and adjust inventory records as needed.
- Monitors efficiencies and addresses any internal deficiencies.
- Transacts all inbound and outbound inventory for assigned 3PL warehouses including shipping and receiving.
- Schedules transportation requirements including shipment notification, tracking, and proof of delivery.
- Performs outgoing inspections to ensure shipments meet specifications and the correct carrier is used.
- Communicates often with 3PL suppliers, PM, and Account Managers.
- Responsible for performing daily transactions such as scrapping, adding, and removing inventory and performing month-end reports on time.
- Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
- Accountable to follow all policies & procedures defined in the company quality system.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conducts meetings and follows up on any open actions as needed.
- Reports to work on time and follows the call-in procedure.
- Reports any Health and Safety issues to the department manager immediately.
- Monitors warehouse daily housekeeping routine and 5S best practices.
- Conducts all work duties as per the Occupational Health & Safety Act & Regulations, the health, safety & environmental policies, procedures, and policies of company
- Performs any other reasonable assignments given by your Department Management or his/she designates.

**Skills Required**:

- Minimum 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 1 year in a leadership position preferably in a shipping/ receiving capacity
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Knowledge of MS Outlook Contact Management systems; DataWEB Database software; MS Explorer Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Intermediate MS Excel Spreadsheet software skills and MS Word Processing skills.
