**Yard Person/Driver - Summit Trailers (Acheson, AB)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Moving rental trailers (both in and out of yard) as required by Rental Coordinator, ensuring decks are clean/swept off before customer pick up on a timely manner.
- Shuttle trailers/boxes (back and forth) from Summit to customer yard, paint or powder business as requested.
- Ensure units stored in yard are organized and ready to hook up.
- Stage units according to the schedule; ensure bays are full for next day work.
- Pressure wash exterior of required units (customer, rentals, new), ensuring units are clean, decks are free of debris.
- Maintain shop and yard which includes:

- Empty shop dumpsters as needed
- Snow removal - to include yard, sidewalks, bay pads
- Keep yard clean of debris, garbage, dunnage, etc
- Inspect incoming units (both truck and trailers), complete all truck check in sheets thoroughly.
- Inspect outgoing units (both truck and trailers), complete all truck check out sheets thoroughly.
- Ensure pictures are done of all new units, new rig ups, etc

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License
- Customer service focused
- Forklift experience
- Skidsteer operation experience
- Overhead crane experience
- Ability to endure repetitive and routine duties (climbing in and out of truck, on and off units, walking/standing for long periods of time)
- Organizational skills (keeping yard organized, staging units appropriately)
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi-task numerous job tasks or requests
- Ability to communicate effectively with all employees

**Hours of Work**:

- 7:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday - 44 hour work week
- Shift may alter as per the weather conditions to ensure parking lot is cleaned, ready for customers and staff
