**Skill must haves**:

- Must be comfortable working to tight tolerances (0.0005”-0.001”)
- Must be able to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, tables and follow OEM procedures.
- Must be able to plan to determine best work processes.
- Must be able to problem solve and communicate unforeseen circumstances.
- Must be willing/able to operate drill presses, bench grinders, tool grinders, pneumatic and hand tools.
- Must be extremely competent using measuring equipment such as OD & ID micrometers, bore micrometers, Vernier calipers, gauge blocks/pins, height gauges, thickness gauges, depth gauges and dial indicators.
- Must be familiar with setting up and mounting irregular parts in custom fixtures to perform machining functions.

**Skills considered additional assets**:

- Familiar with machining titanium, alloy steels, stainless steel, aluminum and magnesium and thermal spray coatings.
- Experience operating Haas CNCs.
- Familiar with cylindrical grinding.

**Education and training**:

- High school diploma
- Completion college or technical training
- Machinist Red Seal certification
