**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain vertical lathes and milling machines to produce heavy equipment rims according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
- Set up machines, including selecting and installing appropriate tools, fixtures, and workpieces.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Machinist, preferably with a focus on vertical lathes or large-scale machinery.
- Proficient in operating mills and vertical lathes, with a strong understanding of their capabilities and limitations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints with precision.
- Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in Machining or a related field is a plus.
