This position is part of the Dalhousie Diversity Faculty Awards (DDFA) program. The DDFA is a recruitment initiative designed to increase the number of faculty members from historically underrepresented groups. The program was introduced in 2011 in partnership with the Dalhousie Faculty Association and augmented through collective bargaining. Established in 1818, Dalhousie is a leading research-intensive university with more than 18,500 students, including 3500 in graduate programs, from 115 countries. It is the largest university in Atlantic Canada and is located in the heart of Kjipuktuk (Halifax), a scenic coastal city and capital of Nova Scotia, which is home to 13 Mi’kmaq First Nations, a deeply rooted African Nova Scotian community, and an increasingly diverse population.
