Security Analyst

Location: Toronto

The Security Analyst is responsible for planning and carrying out security measures to protect an organization’s IT network(s) and system(s). The Security Analyst identifies vulnerabilities and responds to breaches competently. The Security Analyst helps adapt the organization’s existing security infrastructure accordingly. The Security Analyst helps users across departments implement and navigate new security software.

You’re Great At:

- Strong knowledge of IDS/IPS/XDR/Antivirus.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Security Modules
- Strong knowledge of Firewalls - Palo Alto/Windows/Guardicore.
- Strong knowledge Active Directory security.
- Strong knowledge Vulnerability Scanning - Rapid7/Qualys.
- Strong knowledge Network Routing protocols.
- Strong knowledge SSL Certificates - Digicert/Let’sEncrypt.
- Professional communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a senior team member.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to quickly and accurately resolve day-to-day problems/issues competently and efficiently.
- Ability to resolve routine/minor conflicts efficiently, and knowledge of when to escalate.
- Familiarity with Agile practices.

You Have:

- Post-secondary school education in related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience supporting IT Infrastructure and Operations.
- Relevant certifications such as: CISSP (or others from ISC2), CISA (or others from ISACA), GIAC (or others from SANS), OCSP or others is an asset.
- Experience operating in ITIL Framework for Change, incident, and problem management.
