IT Security Analyst

**_Role impact:_**
The IT Security Analyst performs two core functions for the enterprise. The first is the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions while the second is the identification, investigation, and resolution of security breaches detected by those systems. Secondary tasks may include involvement in the implementation of new security solutions, participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as conducting vulnerability audits and assessments. The IT Security Analyst is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise’s security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures, and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals.

**_What you will deliver:_**
- Helping in creating new technical documents and update/improve current technical documents for cyber security systems
- Assist in maintaining a library of documented response procedures, participate in knowledge sharing with other analysts and develop efficient solutions
- Reviewing alerts generated by system and reporting them to the owner
- Assist team members with Information Security activities including: security monitoring procedures, document and perform processes related to security monitoring
- Conduct initial investigations of escalated security and network events
- Provide support in various other activities such as policy review and update, project management and reporting

**_What you need to succeed:_**
- Enrolled in Undergraduate program (2nd year or above) or Masters degree in a related discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology
- Basic understanding of, and interest in developing skills related to Cyber Security, technology architectures
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) and Microsoft Excel
