**About the role**:
We are looking for a Head of UX Research who is passionate about solving complex problems to stand up our user research function. As our first research hire, you will work closely with our founder/CEO and product leaders to develop best practices, define our operating cadence and build our research org. You will partner with our talented product managers, designers and engineers to answer important business questions and influence product decisions across our core app experiences so we can continue helping millions of Americans save time and money on their cars. **Who You Are**:

- You are a creative problem-solver; no challenge is too complex for you, no issue is too hard
- You have strong empathy for people and a desire to impact their lives in meaningful ways
- You are a hustler at heart and you thrive under pressure
- BA/BSc in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology or related disciplines centered on human behavior
- 6+ years doing hands-on qualitative and quantitative user research in a consumer-facing environment
