About the Team: Our workplace is a lot of fun, and we welcome great and positive people. You will be working alongside fun and hardworking individuals who come together in creating awesome restaurants. You will be regularly working together with the Regional Culinary Operations Manager, Truck Manager and Truck team, Operations Team, and Restaurant Leadership teams.
You will be:
- Developing a strong understanding of Tacofino, including its history, menus, and different locations/concepts
- Connecting with local businesses in an effort to create new relationships and expand our catering business and increase restaurant buy-outs
- Representing Tacofino at networking events in and around Vancouver in an effort to source new business
- Partnering with clients to discuss our catering menus, gather details, and communicate back to the catering and trucks team
- Communicating catering menus and dietary options to clients
- Providing timely, accurate, and competitive pricing for incoming inquiries
- Invoicing clients, accepting payments, following up and collecting payments
- Confirming all event details with clients prior to their events to ensure accuracy
- Preparing catering event orders for each function
- Participating in weekly catering meetings
- Reporting sales, feedback, and potential improvements during your weekly catering meetings
- Following up after events to ensure guest satisfaction and gather feedback
- Representing Tacofino at the Street Food Society
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Previous catering, event coordination or hospitality sales experience - minimum 1 year
- Experience in creating sales and customer retention strategies
- Experience in sourcing new clients through attending events and networking
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Experience with catering software; orbital payment an asset
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in providing superior customer service
- Ability to multitask, be flexible, and work well under pressure
