**Summary**

Zedcor is looking to add a field service technician to help expand service to existing customers. The field service technician will be a crucial team member as we continue to execute our growth strategy in Manitoba. This position will be perfect for you if you have a strong mechanical and diagnostic aptitude to provide support for our mobile security towers and to push the company forward. This position will report into our Winnipeg branch office and service our mobile security towers in Manitoba.

This role is responsible but not limited to setting up security & surveillance towers on customer projects, maintaining the current fleet of mobile towers and performing major repairs when needed. You will also need to perform a full tower check before and after units come back from the site. This position will include service for our solar hybrid towers with diesel engine/generator configurations. Experience with small diesel engine service and repair is a requirement.

- Inspect, service and repair towers before departing to the site.
- Manage all on site installations, repair, maintenance, and diagnostic tasks in field and at the branch.
- Determine and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on site.
- Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
- Deliver and pickup towers when needed.
- Produce timely and detailed service and equipment reports.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety requirements from Zedcor and customer sites.
- Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols.
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization.
- Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Perform other duties as requested.

**Qualifications and skills**
- Knowledge of small displacement diesel engines, generators, electrical systems, and security equipment.
- **3-5 **years’ experience in equipment maintenance and repairs equipment.
- Proven field service experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, driven, and motivated to work independently with little oversight.
- Experience working in a fast-paced competitive environment that is results-driven.
- Valid class G driver’s license with 3-years abstract.
- Positive attitude and team player.
- Commitment to exceptional customer service.
- Willing to work overtime and some overnight travel in certain circumstances.
- Commitment to safety

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
