Bamford Produce Company Ltd. was established in 1881 and is a fourth-generation family business. Our company is a foodservice distributor and the only produce foodservice distributor with stalls at the Ontario Food Terminal in Ontario. We also boast of being the only member of ProAct in Ontario.

**_ Job Brief_**

We are a food manufacturing company looking for a Sanitation Supervisor. The job holder will supervise all hourly employees and is responsible for implementing sanitation procedures of the entire processing, packaging and warehouse areas.

**_ Essential Responsibilities_**
- Plan and arrange manpower requirements for the department (all shifts) on a daily and weekly basis to ensure sanitation duties to be done.
- Train staff on proper usage of sanitation chemicals & assign duties to sanitation crew while making sure cleaning and maintenance schedules are to be followed.
- Help develop and implement strategic sanitation programs, policies, plans and processes to ensure that sanitary performance meets our standards as well as food safety requirement towards regulatory compliance.
- Provide supportive training to both new and existing employees.
- Keep Procedure Manual and Sanitation Schedule current to meet with due diligence.
- Prepare reports regarding inspections, sanitation violations, and corrective actions taken.
- Coordinate with maintenance or others as appropriate to solve sanitation-related problems.
- Ensure employees to be trained on WHMIS and other programs.
- Participate in audits, facility inspections and coordinate pre-operational inspection with QC Management.
- Manage annual sanitation plan, budget forecast and performance.
- Assign daily routine inspections and sanitation activities.
- Coordinate with other departments to make sure procedures are followed and standards are met.

- Job Type: Permanent Full-time
- Probationary Period: 3-months
- Work Location: Mississauga ON
- Shift Requirement: Must be flexible for any shifts including emergency call-ins
- Salary Package: $55,000 to $60,000 per year.

**_ What You Should Have_**
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
- Strong knowledge in chemicals, bio-hazard etc.
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Health Sciences and related fields or equivalent experience.
- Experience in food manufacturing production would be a strong asset.
- Must be flexible for any shifts including evenings and weekends.
- Work requires moderate to vigorous activities such as constant walking, occasionally lifting to 50 lbs.
