**The Role**:

- Executing all responsibilities following GMP, Food Safety, and Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Work with production supervisors to schedule plant wide cleaning and sanitation to ensure compliance with all regulatory sanitation procedures.
- Strict adherence to the sanitation schedule ensuring all equipment and areas are cleaned and sanitized on a regular basis.
- Maintain accurate and legible cleaning records.
- Clean/sanitize production equipment according to established SOP and/or manufacturer requirements; ensure readiness for next day production.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and areas are maintained in clean and safe manner.
- Monitor and maintain chemical and cleaning supplies, report to supervisor to place orders.
- General housekeeping duties such as: garbage collection and disposal, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, refilling of PPE, etc.
- Actively participate in all training administered by the Company; report immediately any food safety and/or health & safety concerns.
- All other duties as assigned and required by the Company.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Completion of high school or equivalent.
- Previous experience in sanitation role, preferably in food manufacturing, is an asset.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, WHIMS, and Food Safety is preferred.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- “Can do” attitude with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to resolve issues.

**Physical Demands**:

- Capable to lift, move, and carry items up to 25 kg.
- Able to stand, reach, bend, push and pull frequently over the course of a shift.
- Bakery environment which involves exposure to warmer than and cooler than optimal room temperatures.
- Able to wear all safety or protective equipment as required by the Company.
