**Digital Inventory Analyst**

**AutoCanada Home Office**

**Edmonton, Alberta**

As part of the Marketing team, this position will play a key role in how we manage one of our largest assets, inventory. With over 10,000 vehicles currently in stock, you can imagine this is a big job. To use a sports analogy, we’re looking for a player who hustles and has some grit. We need someone to basically do all the little things that don’t show up on the scoreboard but may be the difference between winning or losing.

As a Digital Inventory Analyst, you’re a curious, motivated, self-starter who can work through problems methodically and efficiently. We’re in the business of selling cars; so, there’s a lot going on and it’s a fast-paced environment. It is important that you can prioritize appropriately, sift through as much data as you can get your hands on, and never stop asking questions. We like to be successful, so we ensure that hard work and results are recognized and rewarded.

From merchandising, inventory feeds and stocking processes, to data mapping, trend analysis, and supply management, you will become an inventory expert who works closely with our dealerships and marketing team to ensure we are setting ourselves up for success

**You are responsible for**:

- Taking ownership of our Inventory Management Systems (IMS) to monitor the performance of the vehicles with regards to age, pricing, photos, and descriptions
- Tracking inventory pipeline activity and aligning incoming inventory with marketing goals and objectives
- Following how data moves throughout dealerships to identify and alleviate bottlenecks and increase process efficiency
- Gathering and analyzing data to support dealerships with the latest shopping trends and competitive pricing ranks
- Utilize the tools and reporting within our IMS to maximize our online exposure
- Understanding the DMS, CRM and reporting systems to ensure our data is accurate
- Analyzing market trends and competition to assess growth points and adjusting our position accordingly
- Training new team members in the dealership on our best practices and available tools relating to merchandising and pricing
- Reporting twice a month on the health of each dealer’s inventory from the back-end to online
- Reviewing and analyzing inventory mix to mitigate risk and get ahead of any potential issues
- Working with the dealerships to present the data maintain acceptable benchmarks for inventory merchandising and marketing results
- Ensuring that dealerships have a strategy to stay on top of aging and high-risk units
- Staying on top of 3rd party marketplace data to help the dealers make optimal purchasing decisions
- Anything and everything to do with how our vehicles look online

**Your capabilities**:

- We’d prefer if you have been in sales or a car dealership for 2 to 3 years
- University diploma or degree in business, supply chain, computer science, or related field would be considered an asset
- We’d prefer you have some experience in data mapping and understand what goes into efficient inventory management processes
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of Microsoft Excel
- Capable of quickly learning and becoming proficient at several different ERP systems
- You’re adaptable and a quick learner, who can get stuff done yourself and use other team members proactively when you need help
- You can work on your own and don’t need to be hand-held through your daily tasks
- You’re comfortable talking to people and know how to discuss data and results
- You have an ability to juggle a whole bunch of jobs at once and can sort out what is a priority and what is not

**What’s in it for you?**
- Competitive pay, bonus, and pretty great group of people to spend time with every day
- Health and dental benefits, obviously
- Access to all the training and support you need to get the job done
- An opportunity to be part of an exciting, growing company

We are in pursuit of an elite team to take our publicly traded, Canadian-born and raised company, to the next level in automotive excellence. Founded in 2006, AutoCanada started with 19 dealerships managed by our head office team out of a tiny office in Edmonton. Fast forward 15 years and we currently operate 63 dealerships in eight provinces and the United States. Our once small team has grown to over 4,200 strong
