We are currently looking for professional banquet event servers know this role is part time. This is to fill our busy events season coming up here at NeXT ( September to December) Banquet Event server set up rooms along with teardowns. Assist in the service of plated and reception style events.

NeXT is open 7 days a week and is open for dinner service currently from from 5 pm to 9 pm. Our events are primarily Thursday to Sundays. we host banquet events weekly weddings and private events weekly, with a focus of these events vary in guest size from 30 to 150 guest.

**YOUR COMPENSATION**

Event servers can expect a hourly salary of between $26 to $30 per hour. this is based on a hourly rate of $17.20 per hour, and the remainder of your income coming from gratuity.

**YOUR MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**
- Be smart serve certified (mandatory)
- Be available Wednesday to Saturday weekly service.
- Be able bodied, this position requires you to stand and move actively.
- This role is only open to Canadian citizens who reside within the Ottawa Region along with students who possess a visa that will allow them to work while studying here in Canada.

**WHAT IS NeXT?**

We are a 11,000 square foot facility located in west end of Ottawa, Stittsville, Ontario.

We offer the following services:

- Banquet & Event facility for up to 130 guests in up two 3 different rooms.
- 110 seat casual dining room featuring an eclectic a la carte menu, featuring some of Chef Blackie’s best food memories from his 30 plus year career.
- Take home catering, via our casual dining room menu.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons and ensuring a positive experience.
- Prepare and serve food and beverage in accordance with Smart Serve standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the event area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and support food handling as needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to meet customer demands.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
