**COOKS (CHEF DE PARTIE)**

Hey Ottawa NeXT is currently seeking to expand our existing inclusive team of dedicated cooks for our back of house team

This role is part time and will transition into full time as Fall business levels increase.

We are seeking team members to commit to a minimum of 3 to 4 shifts a week.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATES SHOULD POSSESS.**
- Availability to work 3-4 shifts, primarily weekends.
- Love for the fast-paced work associated with this industry, and to be a part of a team that cares in what we create daily.
- Work well under pressure to deliver food in a timely manner.
- 1-2 year previous professional kitchen experience.
- You are clean and conscientious of the safety required to keep a professional kitchen clean and organized.
- Enjoy the energy and pressure associated with being a part of a fluid dynamic, and professional culinary team.
- You live for Cooking
- This role is open only to Canadian citizens who reside within the Ottawa Region along with students who possess a visa that will allow them to work while studying here in Canada.

**WHAT IS NeXT**
- Established in 2013, NeXT is a standalone independent Food & beverage operation.
- Unique to Ottawa region, NeXT offers a dining room open to the public with 120 seats.
- Banquet facilities that offer services up to 180 guests in a single event.
- NEXT currently is open Wednesday to Sundays 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm for Dinner Service in our Casual Dining room, with plans to open 7 days/week by mid September, open for brunch on Sunday's only from 10:00 - 1:00pm + We host private events for both social and corporate from 30 to 150 guests primarily on Friday and Saturday.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 30 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay
- Tips

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
