TMX's post-trade services include the Canadian Depository for Securities Limited (CDS) and Canadian Derivatives Clearing Corporation (CDCC). CDCC offers clearing and settlement services for all MX transactions and certain over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives. CDCC offers central counterparty and clearing and settlement services for all transactions carried out on MX’s markets and on some OTC products.
The Analyst, Collateral/Banking and Client Support is accountable for ensuring complete and timely processing as well support approx. 30 CDCC Members members in areas such as:
- Margin and collateral management; Cash Collateral management
- LVTS Large Value Transfer System for the industry
- Provides ongoing client engagement for Option expiry; and
- Client Reporting
How does the Analyst, Collateral Banking and Client Support contribute at TMX?- Central point of contact for clients, and ongoing client engagement to ensure client needs are met and solutions are provided- Provide high level knowledge of technical and analytical expertise regarding Collateral/Banking/Settlements- Ensure industry meets Collateral Requirements to satisfy margin calls- Ensure full Cash Reconciliation with Bank of Canada and settlement Banks- Ensure successful completion of end of day net settlement (Payment Exchange for the industry)- Provide support for the MX Exchange with client trade corrections- Coordinates all Operations activities to ensure the continuity of service delivery;- Support the Derivatives product offerings: Exchange traded Options and Futures; OTC- Support the Fixed Income product offering: Lifecycle Management - trade maintenance; trade support; Management of Settlement - including resolution of breaks- Provide leadership and support to Risk Management and Client for Default Simulations and Disaster Recovery program- Relationship Management with Regulators, Internal and External Audit, Risk Management, Finance and Technology partners- Strict adherence to internal procedures, rules, audit requirements and internal controls verification processes- Makes recommendations using professional judgement, guided by known practices
**Requirements**:
- Post-Secondary education in Business Administration and/or Accounting is preferred- Minimum of 2 - 4 years’ experience in the Securities Financial Industry- Solid knowledge in Operations or Securities Accounting in the Securities Financial Industry, the Canadian Securities Industry (Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives), and the Global Capital Markets-
- Effective listening, written and verbal communication skills- Good technical and analytical skills and ability to propose operational solutions and solve moderately complex problems specific to a project or assignment- Solid interpersonal skills- Solid organization skills with the demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize- Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision, as well as a team player- Detailed and results oriented
