The Administrative Assistant supports the General Manager and daily operations of the retirement home, ensuring compliance with all governing bodies, including RHRA, Public Health, the Ministry of Environment, and the fire department. This role includes maintaining documentation, assisting with audits, and keeping staff informed of requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support compliance, quality standards, and risk management.
- Maintain accurate documentation and assist with inspections/audits.
- Assist with staff scheduling and cover vacant shifts when required.
- Coordinate training for new healthcare staff and support recruitment efforts.
- Promote positive employee relations, staff morale, and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor healthcare supplies to ensure safe operations.
- Act as a leader and resource in the General Manager’s absence.
- Contribute to the Home’s mission, vision, and annual goals.

**Requirements**:

- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, residents, and management.
- Knowledge of retirement home regulations and compliance requirements is an asset.
- Experience in nursing, healthcare, or a retirement home environment is an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer literacy.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

**Schedule**: Part-time, 3 days per week.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.5 per week

Work Location: In person
