**Manager, Student Supports & Programming**
(Permanent Full Time, 35 hours/week)
Non-Bargaining Unit Position
The Pathways Manager, Student Supports & Programming assists the Senior Manager to develop, implement and administer all aspects of the Pathways to Education program. The Manager is responsible for the successful planning, implementation, evaluation and continual improvement of student advocacy and engagement programming and services alignment with funder accountabilities and agency standards. These responsibilities include contributing to the hiring and evaluating of staff as well as the ongoing coordination and supervision of staff and activities as they relate to student engagement and advocacy, the implementation of programming events, workshops, and opportunities for community engagement and development. This position also leads the development and implementation of employment and post-secondary learning opportunities for students.
The Manager, Student Supports and Programming contributes to strategic planning and service planning for the Pathways program and YouthLink.

**Staff Supervision and Administration**
- Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate the Student Development Workers’ (SDW) and relief SDWs professional practice including case management and documentation, youth/family engagement and support, and adhere to agency and program - specific policies and procedures.
- Review student progress and critical cases on an ongoing and regular basis, providing coaching and supervision to the Student Development Workers and relief SDWs.
- Organize Student Development Workers workflow and scheduling, attendance, performance reviews and professional development as well as caseload distribution, programming events schedule, school visits, etc.
- Recruit and supervise student placements (e.g. Child and Youth Worker, Bachelor of Social Work) during their placement. Provide supervision, training and professional development opportunities and evaluation of placement students.
- In collaboration with other Pathways managers, ensure the Pathways to Education staff, volunteers and students are knowledgeable about the Pathways program and YouthLink’s programs, policies and procedures including health and safety.
- Analyze the student database to record and track students progress and their participation in the program.
- Ensure that appropriate record-keeping processes are established and maintained for students’ records, in keeping with organizational policies.
- Leads the planning of the annual registration process.

- Take all reasonable and necessary precautions to protect his or her own health and safety, and that of coworkers by complying and demonstrating knowledge of the policies, procedures, and safe practices established by YouthLink.
- Anticipates emerging issues and de-escalates or addresses them before they escalate to complaints.
- Continually manages organizational risk and opportunities; participates in the development and implementation of risk mitigation plans.
