With its most recent acquisitions, Heroux-Devtek is bolstering its status as one of the foremost landing gear, actuation and hydraulic system designers and manufacturers in the global aerospace industry. **Division info**: The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets. **Summary of position**: The Heroux Devtek -Kitchener facility is seeking to recruit a Material Handler. This is a permanent, full time position reporting to the Production Control. Overtime and shift work is applicable in this position. **Main responsibilities**: - Responsible for the safe movement of parts from location to location within the plant, using hand pump truck and forklift, manual lifting and pushing wagons, helps in shipping department when required. - Unloads trucks, movement within raw storage. - Dump chip bins using forklift - Organizing materials and storage areas in a practical and functional manner utilizing good house¬keeping practices. - Operating material handling equipment adhering to standard safety practices **Qualifications**: - Minimum 2+ years forklift experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. - Ability to take direction from and interact with co-workers in a productive and positive manner. - Minimum Gr. 12 education required. - The ability to wear the required PPE.
