Material Handler

We are currently seeking an experienced **full-time Material Handler** to join our team.

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
**1. Inventory & Material Handling**
- Accurately move stock from inventory to production, ensuring efficient material flow.
- Transport skids and raw materials between departments as needed.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining stock levels to support production requirements.
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts and assist in stock replenishment.
- **Sheeting rolls to sheets as required in dockets, either prior to printing or after printing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.**

**2. Warehouse Organization & Cleanliness**
- **Ensure the warehouse is well maintained, organized, and kept clean at all times.**:

- **Ensure materials are stored in the correct positions for easy accessibility and inventory accuracy.**:

- Identify and report any damaged or misplaced materials to maintain order and efficiency.

**3. Forklift & Equipment Operation**
- Safely operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols while handling materials.
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.

**4. Shipping & Receiving Support**
- Assist in unloading deliveries, inspecting shipments, and verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Help coordinate outgoing shipments and ensure proper labeling, packing, and tracking.
- Work with the Shipping & Receiving team to maintain efficient warehouse operations.

**5. Safety & Compliance**
- Follow all **health and safety** regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Participate in workplace safety training and emergency preparedness drills.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of hazardous materials when applicable.

**6. Team Collaboration & Process Improvement**
- Work closely with **production, warehouse, and shipping teams** to ensure seamless operations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in material handling.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to operational enhancements.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in material handling, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- **Forklift Certification**: Valid forklift license with a strong safety record.
- **Physical Stamina**: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong commitment to accuracy in tracking and handling materials.
- **Safety-Conscious**: Knowledge of workplace safety protocols and best practices.
- **Warehouse Organization**: Ability to maintain a **clean and organized** warehouse environment with proper material placement.
- **Team Player**: Ability to collaborate with different departments for smooth workflow.
- **Communication Skills**: Effective verbal and written communication to coordinate tasks efficiently.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and major carrier systems (UPS, FedEx, Purolator) is a plus.
- **Sheeting Experience**: Ability to sheet rolls to sheets as required per dockets, ensuring proper size and material preparation before or after printing.

**Working Conditions**:

- **Environment**: Manufacturing/printing plant with active machinery, requiring focus on safety.
- **Physical Demands**: Frequent lifting, standing, and moving materials throughout the shift.
- **Hours**: Standard work hours **7:00 AM - 4:00 PM**, with occasional overtime based on production needs.
- **Safety Gear**: Proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) must be worn as per company policy.
- **Own Transportation**:Since we are not on a bus route, you must have your own transportation.
