North York, Canada NWI Precision Full time

NWI Precision’s 120,000 sq. ft. facility is located at 9 Fenmar Drive in Toronto. Our dedicated team of approximately 200 employees focus on delivering quality products, to specifications on time, in the production of specialized cylindrical components. Our skilled labour team is trained on multiple machines within their discipline.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine maintenance on waterjet equipment and monitor parts for wear.
- Complete machine setups and ensure correct programs are loaded according to the work order specifications (e.g., XWB84, XWB97).
- Verify angle of cut and part dimensions between operations to ensure quality and compliance.
- Load and unload parts using an overhead crane, following all safety protocols.
- Reload sand and maintain adequate abrasive levels as needed.
- Mark parts for traceability upon completion of each operation.
- Change filters on both the main pump and wall unit as required.
- Conduct deep cleaning of the water softener system as part of routine maintenance.
- Replace solid removal system bags when necessary.
- Rinse parts thoroughly between operations to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free of debris to support a safe working environment.
- Notify the supervisor of any required minor or major repairs or rebuilds to key components such as the water pump or waterjet head.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standard operating procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience operating waterjet cutting equipment is preferred but not required; training may be provided.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform equipment maintenance.
- Comfortable operating overhead cranes and other material handling equipment (training provided).
- Ability to read and follow work orders, instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to report issues and updates to supervisors.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Comfortable lifting up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 50 lbs] as needed.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to water, noise, and industrial equipment.
