**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate compounding equipment; mixers, coolers and extruders through automated computer system.
- Monitor all raw material at required levels.
- Operate compound production lines (Start up, Shut down, Change over).
- Material handling, storage, shipping, receiving, and packaging of raw materials and finished goods.
- Operate Forklift.
- Evaluate product quality and adjust if required.
- Monitor processing conditions, and report discrepancies.
- Initiate maintenance activities as required.
- Troubleshoot process and material problems.
- Take an active role in providing training for Compounders on the shift.
- Assist the Shift Supervisor in the monitoring and enforcement of the following company policies and procedures.
- Maintain high level of quality consistent with established standards.
- Comply with established safety rules.
- Comply with company policy and procedures.
- Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and managers.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned to satisfaction of the Production Manager.

**Working Hours**:
The facility currently operates on an **eight (8) hour bi-weekly rotating shift format.**

Day Shift (7am-3pm), Afternoon Shift (3pm-11pm), Night Shift (11pm-7am)

Hours worked in the afternoon shift are eligible for a $0.50/hour premium and hours worked in the night shift are eligible for a $1.00/hour premium.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:

- Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English effectively.
- Ability to trouble-shoot, analyze, and solve problems.
- Capable of lifting up to 50lbs/22.7kgs.
- Able to work productively with minimum supervision.
- Material handling and forklift operating license.
- Thorough understanding of PVC compounds operation and control systems.
- Ability to operate production equipment.
- Knowledge of compound performance requirements.
- Knowledge and ability to operate Computers.
- Must be able to reliably commute to work.
- Must be able to work rotational shifts (days, afternoons and nights).
- Leadership qualities and skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
