An opening exists at the Brockville Book Fairs Branch for the position of Material Handler, reporting to the Book Fair Distribution Manager. This position, you will be working Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.
Reach truck experience is required (recent certification preferred). The Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse fulfillment, ensuring timely handling of inbound/outbound freight, as well as daily stock replenishment.
**Responsibilities**
- Perform product movements to bulk/pick locations, ensuring paperwork is completed and handed in for timely system updates.
- Responsible for supporting warehouse fulfillment, ensuring timely handling of inbound/outbound freight, as well as daily stock replenishment.
- Responsible for coordinating and consolidating skids for bulk storage/shipping, performing housekeeping duties and supporting the warehouse fulfillment and packaging.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma
- Reach Truck experience required (recent certification preferred).
- 2 years forklift experience
- 1-3 years’ previous warehouse experience
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail
- A positive attitude and the ability to be a team player
- This is a position that requires CSA approved (green-label) safety shoes which will be reimbursed after 3 months of employment.
- Some heavy lifting (up to 40 lbs.) is required
