We are currently seeking an enthusiastic **Light** **Equipment Operator** for our Solar Projects in** Joffre (Red Deer) Alberta** and potentially other locations throughout Alberta.

**You will use your expertise to**:
(You will be responsible for performing such duties and responsibilities which may be assigned to you from time to time by your leader.)
- Operate light equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with job site safety plans and company policies and procedures.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues to management.
- Use equipment to move, load, and unload materials as needed, following instructions from supervisors or team leaders.
- Ensure that materials are properly stacked, stored, and secured to prevent damage or accidents.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, performing routine inspections, oil changes, and other maintenance tasks as required.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation related to equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- 1- 2 years experience operating light equipment in a construction or similar environment.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and diagrams related to equipment operation and maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others..
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed

**Where you will be working, your work schedule, and other important information**:
The base hours of work are a regular 44-hour work week, Monday to Saturday, with the potential for extended work hours based on the business needs.

- Predominately outdoor climate
- May be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather
- Various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.
