**INEOS Oligomers - Joffre, AB** **Organizational Context & Job Purpose** - The Joffre LAO Plant is a petrochemical facility located in Alberta, Canada. Joffre is part of the Oligomers Business Unit and is INEOS’s only plant site in Canada. Joffre uses leading proprietary technology to produce Linear Alpha Olefin’s that are "intermediate building blocks" used in the manufacture of polyethylene, synthetic motor oils, detergents, lubricant additives, and synthetic drilling fluids. Due to the shared nature of some of these services, delivery must be managed in a coordinated manner in conjunction with other US sites and businesses. However, because many of the Global and outsourced contracts with specific Service Level Agreements are US based, the Joffre IT Coordinator will also need to promote, develop, and support cost effective Canadian solutions for reliable and timely service. - The IT Coordinator needs to understand the site IT tools and systems used to support the local business processes to allow them to recommend processes improvements for efficiency and effectiveness. They must know enough about the existing software tools, especially the Microsoft productivity suite, to make those recommendations and be able to demonstrate effective use. - The IT Coordinator will also work closely with the site Process Control Group and Controls Engineers to assist in the areas of their network and Microsoft-based systems. In this role, they will work closely with the engineering department. - The IT Coordinator reports directly to the Site Controller, with a dotted line to the Oligomers global IT manager for the site IT coordination and technical aspects of the role. For the technical components of the job, this position will have a dotted line to the Oligomers Global IT Manager and will work closely with the back-office IT staff supporting the business. - Assists in the preparation of the site IT budget and then in the delivery of the agreed annual plan. - This is a Safety Sensitive Position **Responsibilities & Accountabilities** - Assures the operational integrity, integration and effectiveness of IT services, hardware, and software at site - Assures that site IT delivery is consistent with agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and budgets aligned with business strategy - Anticipates likely needs for IT services; works with the business management to create, scope, cost out, and establish and resource IT related projects and service delivery. - Acts as an escalation point for problems not resolved through normal user channels. - Provides technical support for communication problems, network issues, PC’s, or system issues for plant staff. - Provides On-Call support (24 / 7) for Joffre’s emergency IT issues. - Assures integration of activities across service providers - Ensures IT delivers on financial commitments for expense reductions and cost containment - Administers the system/security per the standards developed by the IT community to ensure the integrity of the local IT assets are maintained. - Manages all issues related to the phone system, including any interface issues with Nova and the various Telecommunication service providers. - Works closely with the various IT back-office functions to leverage their assistance and expertise as part of the delivery of site IT services. - Manages all issues related to the site copier and fax equipment, including lease agreements and renewals, optimization of equipment, and service support concerns raised by Admin Assistants - Tracks and budgets for all costs and expenses associated with IT services for the site - budget $600,000 CDN - Responsible for ensuring that Change Management processes and procedures are followed - Ensures that any INEOS IT guidelines, policies, and procedures are utilized and adhered to - Perform hands-on IT support for items not covered under existing IT service agreements, including PCs, printers, monitors, and other peripherals - Install PC hardware and software in a consistent manner with the other INEOS Oligomer sites - Manage local invent
