**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the operation of the store during scheduled shifts (serving customers, taking orders, putting orders together, answering the phone).
- Engage fully with customers and staff.
- Communicate company vision & expectations frequently and leads by example.
- Manage, supervise, train and develop retail staff. The team is made up of core full-time team as well as some part time individuals.
- Train, coach, develop and discipline store staff through ongoing feedback and the establishment of performance expectations.
- Be accountable for the business performance of the store.
- Ensure that schedules reflect business needs.
- Ensure the highest quality customer service and positive customer experience in all areas; investigate and respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to rectify poor customer experience.
- Demonstrate high personal integrity & business ethics.
- Availability and energy to work full time (40- hours), weekends and holidays.
- Able to spend that complete duration of the shift standing
- Engage in planning and execution of holiday menus and special events.
- Assist with weekly product inventory and ordering.
- Achieve operational objectives by assisting in the preparation and execution of action plans, as well as implementing productivity, quality, and standards of customer service.
- Create an engaging and energetic environment where all associates work as a highly functioning team.
- Anticipate customer needs and promote products.
- Manage and maintain equipment.

Skills & Qualifications
- Passion for food.
- In depth knowledge / expertise of the hospitality / retail food & beverage industry.
- 5+ years of retail experience.
- 3+ years of management experience.
- High personal integrity, professionalism and maturity.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of organization and problem solving skills in a fast paced environment while acting as a respected leader.
- Superior verbal, interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
- Detail oriented personality.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with suppliers and source new products that would appeal to our customer base.
- Smart Serve certification required.
- Be well versed and up to date with WHMIS, Work Place Health & Safety & Public Health food handling certificates
- Knowledge of Maitre’d POS systems and ability to problem solve IT issues (modems, computers, debit & credit machines).
- Ability to motivate and manage staff and work effectively as part of a management team.
- Excellent math, reading, writing and communication skills.
- Social media marketing a plus.
