About the Role

Rodeway Inn Stratford is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping staff to join our team. As part of the housekeeping department, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests. From guest rooms to public spaces, your work directly impacts the comfort and overall experience of every guest who stays with us.

Key Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms, including making beds, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
- Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and coffee items.
- Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, entrances, hallways, stairwells, and other public areas inside and outside the hotel.
- Regularly check and clean all public washrooms throughout the shift.
- Remove garbage and recyclables from rooms, pantries, and common areas, ensuring proper recycling practices.
- Restock housekeeping pantries with supplies (linens, paper products, toiletries).
- Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and stocking.
- Support housekeeping team with deep cleaning projects and special assignments.
- Deliver guest-requested items (extra towels, cots, cribs) to rooms when needed.
- Ensure all cleanliness tasks meet Choice Hotels brand standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial experience required (2 years ideal) — training will be provided.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive, polite, and guest-focused attitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to high cleanliness standards.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the hotel for most of the shift.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and push/pull housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment.
- Ability to bend, reach, stretch, stoop, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.
- Comfortable working with cleaning supplies, disinfectants, and chemicals.
- Good vision (close and distance) to ensure thorough cleaning.
