As a valued member of our team, reporting directly to the Administrative and Operations Coordinator you will collaborate closely with a dynamic group of Parliamentary Protocol and Public Relations professionals. This is a backfill position. **What You’ll Do**: **You’ll act with integrity to**: - Stay abreast of major political stories so that members are notified of press conferences. - Exercise diplomacy, discretion, initiative and good-judgement in a fast-paced and politically sensitive environment. **You’ll support our collaboration as you**: - Conduct internet research of newswires and government websites to obtain information about press releases relevant to Queen’s Park media and legislation in Ontario. - Notify members of the press gallery of all press conferences. - Provide administrative and clerical services including respond to inquiries, pick up and distribution of mail, press clippings, major documents and Hansard transcripts. - Operate the Press Gallery lounge including the purchase of snacks and drinks, and the stocking of items daily. - Assist officers of the Press Gallery in membership activities.
