**Coordinator of Education Services**

**Effective August 27, 2025**

Wolf Creek Public Schools serves approximately 7,500 students in 30 schools across the division with a workforce of approximately 900.

**Assignment**

The Coordinator plans, develops, and oversees programs, staff development, and projects related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment, with a primary focus on Grades 7-12. The role is centered on supporting student learning and achievement for all.

**Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment leadership K-12 (with a primary focus on grades 7-12) including**:

- New curriculum implementation
- Support for Differentiation, Universal Design for Learning
- Leveraging Assessment data to support interventions
- Support teachers in developing instructional and intervention strategies that engage students in meaningful learning activities based on an understanding of students' backgrounds, prior knowledge and experiences.
- Collaborate with school administrators and instructional staff to develop, implement, and enhance education programs, classroom instruction, and assessment practices to promote student achievement

**Supporting Teacher Professional Learning and Classroom Instruction and Assessment.**
- Collaborate with school administrators and instructional staff in the development, implementation and enhancement of school education programs, classroom instruction and assessment to enhance student achievement.
- Coach and facilitate professional learning to support various instructional strategies to meet classroom and student learning needs.
- Model effective classroom management and instructional strategies that will lead to improved student learning.
- Provide leadership for and collaborate with instructional staff in procuring and evaluating instructional resources to meet student learning needs, reflect diverse perspectives and support inclusive, equitable, and culturally relevant pedagogy
- Obtain and use evaluative findings to examine curriculum, instruction and assessment efficacy.
- Collaborate with The Consortium (formerly Central Alberta Regional Consortium - CARC) to develop and provide meaningful professional learning opportunities for teachers
- Supporting the development and implementation of instructional strategies that advance Indigenous Education and Reconciliation, including integration of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit perspectives, histories, and contributions as outlined in the Alberta Programs of Study

**Facilitate the curation of resources to support classroom instruction and assessment.**
- Facilitate the curation and dissemination of instructional and assessment resources that support high-quality, inclusive learning environments
- Identify and share resources that support Indigenous Education and Reconciliation, including materials developed in collaboration with Indigenous communities and Elders
- Support schools in aligning classroom resources with provincial curriculum outcomes and school division priorities for equity, diversity, and inclusion

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Demonstrate excellence in classroom teaching with at least 5 years of experience
- Strong work ethic and highly skilled in building positive working relationships
- Solution-focused educator with experience and/or training in supporting complex student programming and students with challenging behaviours
- Completion of or working toward a Masters Degree would be an asset
- Certification and/or trainer designation with Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments (SIVA) approaches, and protocols would be an asset
- Commitment to career-long professional learning and reflective practice
- Evidence of collaborative approach to problem-solving
