Scanline is looking for a Manager of Accounting,reporting to the Global Financial Controller. This individual will work directly with the Scanline and Netflix Controllership teams and cross functionally with the FP&A, Production Finance and Production teams. The Manager of Accounting will oversee 1 - 2 members of the accounting team located across our UCAN offices in Vancouver, Montreal, and Los Angeles. The Manager of Accounting will lead all aspects of financial reporting for their designated business unit, including intercompany management, fixed asset management, payroll, expenses, accruals, and accounts payable.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Lead, develop and mentor a team of accountants and senior accountants
- Design policies, procedures and controls to drive efficiency and accuracy under US GAAP
- Lead timely and accurate financial close process, review close deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, fluctuation analyzes reports, and other management estimates)Summarize financial results for both Scanline and Netflix management reporting
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and tax reporting requirements
- Support automation within the Workday ERP system
- Assist with audits and tax returns
- Develop strong cross functional relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders across Scanline and Netflix
- Assist Global Controller with ad-hoc, high priority projects
**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**
- 6+ years relevant experience; a mix of public accounting and corporate accounting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP CPA or similar designation preferred
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring others
- Proven experience building processes improvements and streamlining workflows
- Advanced knowledge in Excel and Google Sheets
- Organized with strong attention to detail Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Respect for confidentiality and discretion
**Salary**: $130,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
