**What you will be doing**:The RPG DB2 for i Database Developer ensures that database management and operations are done in a manner upholding highest industry standards, methodologies and procedures ensuring data integrity while protecting the core business activities and databases from service disruption.

**In your day-to-day you will be responsible for**:

- Logical and physical data modeling and database design (including Primary Key / Foreign Key concepts).
- Database creation, maintenance, and management.
- Metadata management and usage.
- Database performance monitoring, tuning, and management.
- Indexing and statistics strategy and management.
- SQL code reviews.
- Database security and integrity.
- Interface with client stakeholders & internal/external tech support teams.
- Database availability, backup, and recovery.
- Database server networking, access, and work management.

**What you should have**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification or equivalent relevant experience.
- 10+ years of experience in SQL on an IBM i.
- 7+ years of experience in RPG (including Free Format) and CL.
- 7+ years of experience in ILE concepts (procedures, modules, service programs, binding directories).
- SQL, DDL, DML, and DDS.
- IBM i DB2 Database Performance and Tuning.
- IBM i DB2 Database Problem Determination & Resolution.
- Applied knowledge of migrating data.
- Knowledge of high availability solutions.
- Familiarity and support RCAC or other data security concepts.

This is a full-time and permanent position.
