Reporting to the Vice President - Underwriting & Pricing, the Manager, National Underwriting is a Head Office position that will be responsible for assisting and supporting the development and maintenance of all components of Wynward's insurance products, coverages and underwriting protocol.

The primary areas of focus include Head Office referrals, underwriting guidelines, occupancy listings and gradings, coverage wordings, and new product development, all to position Wynward as a leader in the commercial insurance industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely and provide support to the VP of Underwriting on behalf of the regional branch underwriting teams when accounts require Head Office or MGA program referrals.
- Assist in program management, review, and renewals.
- Support in the creation, view, and updates on current or new wordings based on market feedback and broker demand.
- Assist in creating and enhancing underwriting guidelines that are reflective of Wynward's risk appetite and provide clear instructions to the regional branch underwriting teams.
- Aid in the development of new products and support entry into new lines of business.
- Provide ongoing training and guidance on existing and new products to the underwriting teams.
- Business Travel as required

**Job Qualifications**:

- Minimum seven (7) years of Senior Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriter experience
- Experience with the creation and interpretation of insurance wordings and guidelines is an asset
- Ability to work in a hybrid work environment
- Strong analytical, assessment, decision-making, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong business acumen, resourceful, and detail oriented
- Post-secondary education in business or analytical discipline, CIP or FCIP designation preferred
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset
