The Group Portfolio Manager will be responsible for running a portfolio of Group business across all distribution channels. The role will drive the acquisition of new group business; monitor the performance of existing group business; execute on components of the group strategy; contribute to regional group initiatives as needed all in pursuit of the overall financial performance of the Aviva Group plan and financial performance.
What you’ll do- Lead top and bottom-line performance of a group portfolio to ensure profitable growth- Lead all aspects of the end-to-end group intake process, ensuring new groups meet defined target segments, tier discounting decisions are made appropriately, delegated authority is adhered to and all risk and controls are detailed and actioned- Collaborate with Group Pricing Team members on segment analysis, semi-annual tier reviews and to measure pricing strength of the group program- Work with distribution partners and marketing teams on group penetration and or rehabilitation strategies and tactics- Complete components of the group strategy- Audit existing groups to ensure appetite fits and marketing plans are being met- Supervise and report on group pipelines, penetration metrics and GWP realization dashboards in Salesforce and Qlik- Work cross-functionally with Broker Distribution, RBC and GCS to build a coordinated, multi-line pipeline for group business- Champion salesforce processes, D&B databases and segmentation modelling to ensure all groups are accurately classified and member counts are accounted for- Ensure accurate tracking and measurement is in place and report on financial performance, trends/insights, and monthly highlights- Participate in personal insurance pricing, underwriting and product meetings to ensure decisions made will lead to the sustained strength of the program- Manage and complete projects directly related to group business- Conceptualize, investigate and develop new group propositions with key partners- Develop a group competitor framework, including developing trends, market share analysis and overall competitive landscape
What you’ll bring- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing or Economics; or equivalent experience in personal Insurance.
Experience in the following areas is an asset- P&C Underwriting experience- Business analytics- Knowledge of group/affinity marketplace- Communications- Exposure to pricing models- Project Management- Digital & Traditional Marketing- Inquisitive- Excellent interpersonal skills- Works well cross-functionally- Project management execution- Tried creativity and innovation- Strong decision-making capability- Customer service orientation- Strong analytical skills- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite- Ability to work independently
