The Assistant Project Manager will report directly to the Director, Pre
- Construction and will be performing various tasks. SKYGRiD is a growing company so the applicant must be familiar with working in a high-pressure challenging environment and take direction easily.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and manage activities related to the procurement and tending process.
- Prepare tender and scope of work documents based on the project specific requirements.
- Manage request for proposals (RFPs) and the evaluation of bids.
- Review and resolve contract drawing & specification interpretation problems, conflicts, interferences, and errors.
- Present design discrepancies, documents, Request for Information (RFI’s), change requests, etc., to design consultants for resolution.
- Attend meetings and log meeting minutes as required.
- Monitor of the bid management to ensure alignment with the organization’s requirements.
- Communicate with Subcontractors to ensure that bids arrive in a timely fashion.
- Prepare bid recaps and levelling sheet as directed by the Director, Pre
- Construction.
- Liaise with Subcontractors, Consultants and Clients to manage the tendering process.
- Maintain and manage the company tendering library and improve procurement process efficiency.
- Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports.
- Participate in the Pre-Construction Department meetings to understand requirements.
- Utilize SKYGRiD’s or the Client’s project management system to complete all project administration.
- Adhere to SKYGRiD’s Site Policy & Procedures Manual.
- Adhere to SKYGRiD’s document management processes.
- Perform additional assignments per manager’s direction.

**Required Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Educational and experience requirements include a construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ construction experience.
- Understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards etc. and their impact on construction projects.
- Foresight to predict problems before they develop.
- Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives.
- Proficiency in Office and Project Management software (e.g. MS Office/Project).

**Type: Permanent Full-Time**
