carter's inc. Canada, a growing national retailer of children's apparel, requires **Customs and Logistics Coordinator **for our Distribution Centre located in Cambridge, Ontario.

Reporting to the Logistics & Customs Compliance Manager the role involves the following:

- Liaise cross-functionally with various departments to resolve/coordinate logistics issues.
- Ensure data accuracy in the ERP, TMS and various Carter’s systems to provide inbound shipment visibility to various audiences.
- Analyse and action daily and weekly transportation reports to support inbound prioritization between DC leadership and Freight forwarders. Audit CRD data to ensure accurate data for Finance.
- Audit and approve shipping documents for customs compliance in the ERP system. Engage with agent for any issues with the accuracy of the documents.
- Audit freight and brokerage invoices for accuracy of rates and applicable tariff treatments
- Maintain Harmonized System tariff database to facilitate vendors creating customs documents
- Act as the initial point of contact for the department to trouble shoot issues preventing goods from being received at the DC.
- Other DC duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma required.
- Education in Logistics/Customs field will be given priority
- At least one year experience in a distribution/transportation/customs environment
- Solid understanding and knowledge of the latest logistics and customs ERP systems
- Skilled at multi-tasking and able to react quickly to frequent priority shifts
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong problem solving skills, including use of judgement and decision making
- Must be detailed oriented and possess the ability to maintain focus in a high activity distibution setting
- Excellent customer service skills, working with both internal and external partners
- Detail-oriented and well organized

**Physical and Work Demands**
- Must be available to work in a multi-channel, multi-shift distribution environment, flexible to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs.
