**Manager, Procurement and Finance**
**The Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance and Director of Finance, the Manager, Procurement and Finance will be responsible to drive the execution of North Star Air’s financial strategy and related initiatives to monitor and deliver financial performance and health of aircraft parts inventory management for the airline.
In this roll you will be accountable for policies and procurement activities as well as aircraft expenditures and oversee a team that will be in care of North Star Air’s inventory management and stores departments across its network of bases. You will oversee all functions of the aircraft parts inventory and its supply chains and regularly provide strategic advice to stakeholders within NSA’s management team.
This position is based in Thunder Bay, Winnipeg or remotely. Travel to NSA’s hubs on a periodic basis will be required.
**Responsibilities**
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Purchase all parts for aircraft and support equipment necessary for Technical Operations to complete assigned planned and unscheduled work.
- Manage stores staff in supporting areas with fixed base and line maintenance operations.
- Work directly with the finance department for monthly reconciliation and aircraft part expenditures.
- Source and negotiate the most cost-effective options to support NSA Technical Operations, ensuring all materials meet company and regulatory bodies regarding standards of work.
- Manage inventory levels.
- Monthly parts expenditure reporting for the Director, Finance, COO and the DOM.
- Perform quality audits of the inventory and responsible for inventory counts and reconciliations on a quarterly timeline.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand the needs of both and ensure the procurement activities align with the company goals.
- Management of work area’s according to policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Maintain and manage a courteous and professional work environment within the materials department.

**Qualifications**:
- 3-5 years' experience in aerospace purchasing preferred.
- College or University Diploma in Business Administration or relevant discipline/experience.
- Knowledge of inventory control and replenishment systems and procedures.
- Aircraft maintenance experience is an asset.
- Advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals.
- Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
