Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our team in the food industry. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking delicious meals in our restaurant kitchen. If you have a passion for food, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have experience in the kitchen, we would love to hear from you.
**Duties**:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and cutting ingredients
- Set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the supervisor
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
**Requirements**:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar role in a restaurant or kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.28 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
