NETSPECTRUM Internet Solutions is currently looking for a Network Administrator for our Sudbury Head Office. NETSPECTRUM is a local internet provider, providing a mix of Rural Wireless, DSL, Fibre and Cable Internet to business and residential customers in Northern Ontario.

The Network Administrator is responsible for assisting the Network Architect and Broadband Manager with our internet service provider network, internal network and end users, and providing Tier 2 support to our Helpdesk Team.

Core Responsibilities:

- Providing Tier 2 support to our Helpdesk agents for escalated technical issues
- Be a point of contact for Field Technicians
- Configuring new hardware/software for internal employees
- Assist in selecting and purchasing hardware
- Participate in troubleshooting network outage and performance issues
- Administer access rights and permissions for internal staff
- Assist with maintenance of Windows and Linux servers
- Performing hardware upgrades at fiber and wireless sites
- Assist with maintaining internal office networks
- Researching and testing new software and processes
- Demonstrate attention to accuracy on all duties and responsibilities
- Ability to work well within a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with Company and established safety and privacy policies and requirements
- A strong understanding of computer networking, routers and switches
- A basic knowledge of wireless networking
- Basic Knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Adequate physical fitness for occasional field work involving lifting and working on a ladder

Valid G driver's license and pass of criminal background check and driver's abstract required for this role.

**Salary**: $23.00-$26.00 per hour

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Computer networking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
